GHK-Cu – Lyophilised Powder

GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide complex, supplied as a lyophilised powder for reconstitution under laboratory conditions. Available in 50mg and 100mg vials.

Chemical information

  • Sequence: Gly-His-Lys (with Cu²⁺)
  • Molecular Formula: C₁₄H₂₂CuN₆O₄ (approx.)
  • Molecular Weight: ~402–403 Da
  • CAS Number: 49557-75-7

Purity and analysis

Each batch is analysed by an independent third-party laboratory for conformity and purity before release. Testing covers two distinct things. Identity confirms the material is the compound stated, typically by mass spectrometry against the expected molecular weight. Purity quantifies the proportion of the stated compound relative to related substances, typically by reverse-phase HPLC. The exact figure for the batch you receive, together with the full analysis, is reported on its certificate.

Certificates are published in full rather than summarised, so you can review the chromatogram and reported values yourself. A certificate reports on the specific sample tested at the time of testing; it is not a warranty of fitness for any purpose.

Residual process-related substances such as trifluoroacetate counter-ions and residual solvents may be present at levels below classification thresholds, as noted in the Safety Data Sheet.

Handling and storage

Store the sealed vial at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening so condensation does not form on cold powder. Once reconstituted, refrigerate and protect from light: compounds in solution are markedly less stable than in lyophilised form. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which cause degradation. If multiple uses are expected, aliquot after reconstitution rather than repeatedly thawing a single vessel.

Handle in accordance with good laboratory practice: safety glasses to EN 166, nitrile gloves to EN 374, and a laboratory coat. Avoid inhalation of powder and work in a well-ventilated area or fume hood where dust may be generated. Dispose of material and contaminated packaging in accordance with local regulations and do not dispose into drains. Full details are in the Safety Data Sheet linked on this page.

What is supplied

One vial containing 50mg or 100mg of lyophilised material, according to the option selected, sealed with a tamper-evident closure. Orders are dispatched from London in protective packaging, with tracked delivery options available at checkout. Bacteriostatic Water 10ml for reconstitution is available separately.

Verifying your batch

Each vial carries a batch identifier. Match it against the certificates published on our COA page to confirm you are reading the analysis for the material you received. If a vial arrives with a broken seal or damaged, contact us at sales@peptideorigin.com with your order number and photographs before use.
