Purity and analysis

Every batch is analysed by an independent third party laboratory for conformity and purity before it is released. Two things are checked. Identity confirms the material is the compound stated, normally by mass spectrometry against the expected molecular weight. Purity measures the proportion of the stated compound relative to related substances, normally by reverse phase HPLC. Certificates are published in full rather than summarised, so the chromatogram and reported values can be reviewed directly. A certificate describes the specific sample tested at the time of testing and is not a warranty of fitness for any purpose.

Residual process substances such as trifluoroacetate counter ions and residual solvents may be present at levels below classification thresholds, as noted in the Safety Data Sheet.

Handling and storage

Keep the sealed vial at minus 20°C, protected from light and moisture. Let the vial reach room temperature before opening so that condensation does not form on cold powder. Once reconstituted, refrigerate and protect from light, since peptides in solution are considerably less stable than in lyophilised form. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing, which causes degradation. Where several uses are expected, aliquot after reconstitution instead of thawing one vessel repeatedly.

Handle in line with good laboratory practice: safety glasses to EN 166, nitrile gloves to EN 374 and a laboratory coat. Avoid breathing in powder and work in a well ventilated area or fume hood where dust may form.
